Applications: WASTE WATER

One of the most common uses for geosynthetics is in municipal waste water treatment ponds. In lieu of compacted clay or concrete, a lining material with a leak detection zone is often installed. Some of the materials used in these applications are HDPE, PVC and rPP. Some of the design factors that are considered when choosing a material are project size, UV stability, slope stability and cover soil placement.
